Conversations
Ask for work, answer questions, and keep track of it all.
- Start a conversationOpen a new conversation in a project, describe what you want, and send it to your AI agent.
- Write and send a messageUse the message box to write to your agent, add new lines and context, check its settings, and send.
- Mention docs, files, and workflows with @Type @ in a message to point your agent at a doc, a project file, or a workflow, so it knows exactly what you mean.
- Attach files and imagesAdd screenshots, images, and other files to a message by dragging them in, pasting them, or using the + button.
- How Enjoy keeps your unsent messagesUnsent messages, their attachments, and half-written answers to agent questions are kept as drafts, so you can switch conversations, or even quit the computer app, and pick up later.
- Send follow-ups while the agent worksQueue a message for when the agent finishes, or send it now so the agent can take it in during its current work.
- Answer your agent's questionsWhen an agent needs a decision, it asks in the conversation. Pick an option or write your own answer, and the agent continues.
- Approve or decline agent requestsSome agents ask before running a command or using a tool. Review the request in the conversation, then allow or decline it.
- Use suggested next stepsAfter a reply, your agent may suggest up to three follow-ups. Send one right away, or edit it in the message box first.
- Follow what your agent is doingOpen the activity panel to see each step the agent takes, how long it takes, and what any helper agents are doing.
- What conversation statuses meanReady, Working, Needs input, Stopped, Failed, Completed. What each status tells you, where you see it, and what to do next.
- Stop an agentStop an agent that's heading the wrong way. Afterwards, retry to let it continue, or send new instructions.
- Mark a conversation as completedWhen a task is done, mark its conversation as completed so your list shows what's still open. You can reopen it any time.
- What's in an agent's replyEach reply shows which agent and model wrote it, how long it worked, and any changes, links, or next steps it included.
- Links, files, and images in repliesWhere web links, links to files on your computer, and images in an agent's reply open, and what to do when one won't.
- Copy a messageCopy the text of a message in a conversation with its copy button, to reuse it in a doc, an email, or another conversation.
- Find a conversationSearch every conversation in a project by its words, and filter the list to what needs you, what's working, or what's unread.
- Find words in a conversationPress ⌘F or Ctrl+F in an open conversation to highlight every match, jump between them, and see a list of matching messages.
- Mark a conversation as unreadFlag a conversation to come back to later. Enjoy marks the agent's latest reply as unread, so the conversation shows under the Unread filter.
- How conversations get their namesA conversation's title comes from your first message, and the agent adds a short colored label. Here's where each appears, and why you can't rename them.
- Hide the conversation listGive a conversation the whole window by hiding the list beside it. Open the list as a dropdown from the Conversations tab when you want to switch.
- Find a conversation's file on your computerEvery conversation is saved as a messages.md file. Show it in Finder, File Explorer, or your file manager to back it up or read it in another app.
- Delete a conversationRemove a conversation from a project for good. Deleting also stops its agent and any websites or other processes it started.
