How Enjoy keeps your unsent messages

ComputerWeb appiPhone2 min readUpdated October 3, 2026

Unsent messages, their attachments, and half-written answers to agent questions are kept as drafts, so you can switch conversations, or even quit the computer app, and pick up later.

You can leave a message half-written and come back to it later. Enjoy keeps a separate draft for every conversation, plus one for the next new conversation in each project.

What’s saved

  • The text you typed, exactly as you left it.
  • Chips for attachments, images, and the docs, files, and workflows you mentioned.
  • Answers to agent questions, including the option you selected or the answer you were writing. See Answer your agent’s questions.

In the computer app, Enjoy saves each draft with its project a moment after you stop typing. Drafts stay when you switch conversations, switch projects, or quit and reopen Enjoy.

Some actions add text to a draft for you. Removing a queued message puts it back at the end of the conversation’s draft, and asking about code selected in the file editor adds it to the new conversation’s draft. See Send follow-ups while the agent works and Start a conversation about selected code.

When a draft goes away

  • You send it. The message box empties once the message is on its way. If sending fails, your text stays in the box so you can try again.
  • You submit or dismiss a question. The saved answer is cleared.
  • You delete the conversation. Its draft is deleted with it.

On the web and on your phone

Each device keeps its own drafts. A draft you start in the computer app doesn’t appear in the web app or the iPhone app, and the other way around.

  • The web app keeps a draft while the page stays open, including when you switch conversations. Reloading or closing the page loses it. Half-written answers to questions aren’t kept when you leave the conversation.
  • The iPhone app saves drafts, including half-written answers to questions, on the phone, so they stay after you close the app. If the app can’t confirm that a message went through, it keeps the draft with a note such as “This message may already have sent. Check this conversation before sending again.” Once you’ve looked, select I’ve checked to keep editing the draft or discard it.

If a draft can’t be saved

If saving fails in the computer app, an error starting with “Unable to save your draft” appears at the top of the window. Your text stays in the message box, and Enjoy tries again with your next change. If the error keeps coming back, copy your text somewhere safe and check that the project’s storage folder is available. See Choose where a project’s conversations are stored.
