Keep sticky notes on a conversation
Sticky notes sit in a margin beside the conversation, each one level with the words it’s about. They’re a place for the thoughts you have while reading a long reply, so you can keep reading and come back to them.
Steps
Select the words
In a conversation, select part of a message, as you would to copy it. Add note appears above your selection.
Choose Add note
A note opens in the margin beside the words, which stay highlighted.
Type your thought
Press Return on a Mac, or Enter on Windows and Linux, to save it. To start a new line instead, hold Shift as you press it.
Select Add to reply
Point to the note and select Add to reply at its bottom. The note joins your message, and the note says In your reply. When you send, your message starts with the highlighted words as a quote, then your note.
