What you can do from your phone or a browser
Most of Enjoy works the same on your phone, in a browser, and on another computer. A few things, like approving agent requests, stay on the computer that runs your projects.
Your phone, a browser at app.enjoy.dev, and another computer connected to yours all work on the same projects, which run on your computer. Here’s what each can do.
What works from anywhere
- Start conversations, send messages, and queue follow-ups while an agent works.
- Answer the questions agents ask you, stop an agent, retry, and mark conversations complete.
- Change a conversation’s model and effort.
- Attach images to messages, up to eight at a time.
- Read and edit files and docs, and create, rename, or delete them.
- Run workflows. In a browser or on another computer, you can also create and edit them.
- See websites your agents start. See See your site from the web app or your iPhone.
- Check on processes and stop them.
What stays on the computer
These need Enjoy on the computer that runs your projects:
- Approving agent requests. When an agent asks permission to do something, a browser or another computer shows Review and approve this action in Enjoy on your desktop. and the iPhone app shows Approve this on your desktop. Some questions from Codex count as requests too and show the same note.
- Permission modes. You can’t change how much an agent may do without asking. In a browser or on another computer, you can switch a conversation’s agent, but not to one that would need more permission than it has now.
- Setting up agents. Signing in to an agent, installing or updating it, and choosing which agent account a project uses. If an agent needs signing in, you see Open Enjoy on your desktop to sign in to the agent, and your message waits.
- Adding and removing projects. Starting a new project, opening a folder, importing past conversations, and removing a project. The web app shows New projects start on your desktop.
- Attaching files that aren’t images, and images over 2 MB.
- Opening files in other apps, showing them in Finder or File Explorer, and editor plugins.
- Project folder and storage settings.
- Merging or deleting worktrees.
- Devices and people. Connecting new devices, inviting team members, answering join requests, and resetting remote access.
In the iPhone app
The iPhone app works like the web app, with a few differences:
- You can change a conversation’s model and effort, but not its agent. The model sheet says Change the agent on your desktop.
- You can create a new project on your own computer. Select New project, and Enjoy saves it in the Enjoy folder on that computer.
- You can pin projects by pressing and holding one, then choosing Pin to top.
- Photos can come from the camera or your photo library. The app removes their location and shrinks them to fit.
- You can view and run workflows, but not create or edit them.
- There’s no find within a conversation, but you can search the conversation list.
- There’s no branch menu.
- The app connects while it’s open and doesn’t send notifications. On a Mac, notifications come from the Enjoy computer app.
