Keep your projects tidy
A few minutes of tidying keeps Enjoy quick to scan. Pin the projects you're working on, close out finished conversations, pin key docs, and archive what's stale.
Agents create a lot quickly: conversations, docs, workflows, branches. Without a little upkeep, it gets hard to see what’s active. These habits keep each screen showing what matters now.
Projects
- Pin what you’re working on. Select Pin on the current project’s tab to keep it in the tab bar. Other projects stay under Projects, where a pin switch next to each one adds it to the tabs. With projects pinned, press ⌘1 to ⌘9 on a Mac, or Ctrl+1 to Ctrl+9 on Windows and Linux, to jump between them.
- Give each project its own color. In Project settings, choose a Tint color or add an image with Choose image…, then select Save. The color shows on the project’s tab and on buttons inside the project, such as Mark as completed, so you can tell at a glance which project you’re in.
Conversations
- Mark finished work completed. Then clear Show completed at the bottom of the list to hide it. See Mark finished work as completed.
- Let labels do the naming. Agents label each new conversation in three to six words, and you can’t rename them, so a focused first message gets a useful label. See Use one conversation per task.
- Use filters before scrolling. Needs you, Working, and Unread narrow the list, and the search box finds words in any message.
- Fit more on screen. In Appearance, the sun or moon button at the top right, choose Compact under Conversations. Choose what to show turns the message preview, agent, and date on or off.
- Hide the list when you’re focused. Press ⌘\ on a Mac or Ctrl+\ on Windows and Linux.
Docs and workflows
- Pin the docs you use daily. Select Pin document in a doc to add a shortcut next to the Conversations, Files, and Workflows tabs.
- Archive what’s out of date. Choose Archive document from the doc’s Document actions menu. Archived docs leave your list and the @ picker, and agents don’t see them when they list your docs.
- Group workflows. Select New collection at the bottom of the Workflows list, then choose that collection when you save a workflow.
An example
Every Friday, you spend five minutes on cleanup. You complete the conversations whose work you checked, archive the handoff docs from finished features, and unpin the project you shipped. On Monday, your tabs show only this week’s projects, and each list starts with what’s still open.
Common pitfalls
- Deleting instead of completing. Delete conversation removes the history, and on the computer and in the web app it doesn’t ask first. Completed conversations stay searchable.
- Pinning everything. Pins help only when there are few of them. The web app keeps its own project pins, and pinned docs are saved separately on each device.
- Keeping stale docs around. Agents may follow an old plan you’ve since changed.
