Set up your first AI agent

Computer4 min readUpdated October 3, 2026

The first time you open Enjoy, it looks for an AI agent on your computer, installs one if needed, and helps you sign in to it.

An agent is the AI program that does the work in your projects. Enjoy needs at least one installed and signed in on your computer. This setup appears after you create your account, once on each computer.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Let Enjoy check your computer

The screen says Looking for your AI while Enjoy checks which agents are installed. If it finds one that’s installed and signed in, setup is done and Enjoy opens.

  2. Choose an AI

If no agent is installed, Enjoy asks Which AI would you like to use? Select the account you have: Claude for Claude Code, ChatGPT for Codex, Grok for Grok Build, OpenCode, or Antigravity.

  3. Wait while Enjoy installs it

If the agent isn’t installed yet, Enjoy shows Adding and the program’s name, and installs it with that company’s official installer. This can take a few minutes. Select Pause to stop.

  4. Sign in in your browser

Your browser opens the company’s sign-in page, and Enjoy shows Finish in your browser. Sign in there and approve the request. If the page didn’t open or you closed it, select Open sign-in again.

  5. Select Let’s get started

When sign-in works, Enjoy shows You’re all set. Next, start a project. See Build your first project.

Good to know

  • You sign in with the agent’s company, such as Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT, not with Enjoy. Enjoy won’t buy or change a subscription for you.
  • If Enjoy finds an agent that’s installed but not signed in, it skips the choice and shows Sign in to with the account name, such as Sign in to Claude. Select Continue to Claude (or the name shown) to open the sign-in page.
  • Enjoy checks for Codex first, then Claude Code, then the others, and stops at the first one it finds installed. To use a different agent, select Choose a different AI.
  • Antigravity shows Paste your code instead: sign in with Google in your browser, copy the code the page shows, paste it into Sign-in code, and select Connect.
  • OpenCode doesn’t need a sign-in. Instead, Enjoy checks which models are set up in OpenCode and shows Checking your models while it does. If it shows OpenCode is ready, select Use OpenCode. To connect another model provider, run opencode auth login in a terminal. See Use OpenCode with free, local, or your own models.
  • Not sure yet? Select Not yet, or I’m not sure for a short explanation. If you install an agent yourself while this screen is open, select Check my computer again.
  • The agent you set up here is used for the new projects you add. You can install more agents later and switch between them in any conversation. See Install an agent and Switch agents in a conversation.
  • This setup runs once on each computer. After that, each project checks its agent when it opens.

If something goes wrong

The program didn’t install

Enjoy shows the program’s name with didn’t install and a reason, such as The installer couldn’t be downloaded. Select Details to see the installer’s output, then select Try again. Or select Choose a different AI. See Fix an agent that won’t install.

“Sign-in took a little too long. Let’s open a fresh sign-in page and try again.”

Select Continue to followed by the account name, such as Continue to Claude. A fresh sign-in page opens in your browser.

“We couldn’t finish signing you in. You can try again, or choose a different AI below.”

Select Continue to followed by the account name to try again, or select Choose a different AI. If it keeps failing, follow Sign in to your agent from a terminal. See also Fix an agent that won’t sign in.

“You’re not signed in yet. Finish signing in with your provider, then try again.”

Enjoy didn’t find a finished sign-in. Select Continue to followed by the account name, sign in on the page that opens, and approve the request.

“We couldn’t check your computer”

Select Try again.

“Another setup or update is still running. Wait for it to finish, then try again.”

An agent is already being installed or updated. Wait a few minutes, then try again.
