Install an agent

Computer3 min readUpdated October 3, 2026

Add Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, OpenCode, or Antigravity to your computer from inside Enjoy, without typing commands in a terminal.

Enjoy installs your first agent while you set it up. You can add more agents at any time, and each one you install is available in all your projects.

Before you start

  • Use the Enjoy app on your computer. It installs agents on Mac, Windows, and Linux. The web app and iPhone app can’t install agents.
  • Make sure you’re online. You don’t need an administrator password.

Steps

  1. Open the agent settings

At the bottom of the message box, select the agent button. It shows your current agent’s name, model, and effort.

  2. Find the agent in the Agent column

Agents that aren’t on your computer yet show Install under their name.

  3. Select the agent

A window such as Add Codex? opens.

  4. Select Install

The button includes the agent’s name, such as Install Codex. Enjoy shows Installing on your computer… while it works, which can take a few minutes.

  5. Select Use and the agent’s name

When Installation complete appears, select the button, such as Use Codex. Enjoy switches your next message to the new agent.

  6. Sign in if Enjoy asks

Most agents need your account with the company that makes them. See Sign in to an agent. OpenCode uses the models already set up in it instead.

Good to know

  • Enjoy downloads each agent’s official installer from the company that makes it, over a secure connection, and runs it without administrator access. On Windows, OpenCode comes from its official release and goes into the .opencode\bin folder inside your user folder.
  • If an agent is already on your computer, for example because you installed it in a terminal, Enjoy finds it and lists it as installed.
  • Select Not now to close the window without installing anything.
  • Enjoy tells you when a newer version of an agent is out. See Update an agent.
  • In the web app, agents that aren’t installed on your computer show Unavailable.

If something goes wrong

When an installation fails, the window title changes to Let’s try that again and shows what went wrong. Any output from the installer appears below the message. Select Try again after fixing the cause.

The installer couldn’t be downloaded

Enjoy couldn’t download the installer from the company’s server. Check your internet connection, and any firewall or VPN that might block downloads, then select Try again.

The message says “(timed out)”

A step took too long, as in The installer couldn’t be downloaded (timed out). A slow or unsteady connection can cause this. Select Try again, on a faster network if you can.

The installer couldn’t finish, or the installed program couldn’t start

The installer stopped with an error, or the agent didn’t open after installing. The message may include an exit code and the installer’s own output. Select Try again. If it fails the same way, send the message text to support from Fix an agent that won’t install.

Another setup or update is still running

Enjoy installs, signs in, and updates one agent at a time. Wait for the other task to finish, then try again.

Enjoy couldn’t find a working version of the program

The installer finished, but the agent that’s now on your computer didn’t pass Enjoy’s check. It may be an old copy that needs an update, or it may not work on this computer. Try again, and contact support if the message returns.
