What is Enjoy?
Enjoy is an app for your computer where you build software and other projects by describing what you want to AI agents that work in your project folders.
You tell Enjoy what you want in plain language, like “build a website for my bakery” or “fix the broken contact form.” An AI agent does the technical work: it reads and changes the files in your project and runs the commands needed to build it. You don’t need to know how to code. You try what the agent made, say what to change, and keep going.
How it works
- Agents run on your computer. Enjoy starts installed agent programs, such as Codex or Claude Code, the same programs people otherwise run by typing
codexorclaudein a terminal. Enjoy gives them tools to work with your conversations, documents, workflows, and the built-in browser. - You choose the agent. Enjoy works with Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, OpenCode, and Antigravity. You sign in to most of them with your account from the company that makes them, not with Enjoy. OpenCode uses the models you’ve set up in it, which can be free or local. See Do I need a separate AI subscription?
- Each project is a folder. Start something new and Enjoy creates an empty folder for it, or open a folder you already have, such as an app you started elsewhere.
- You work in conversations. Each conversation is a chat with an agent about one task. The agent explains what it’s doing, asks when it needs you, and tells you when it’s done.
What Enjoy adds around your agents
- Lists of conversations that show which agents are working, which conversations need you, and which tasks are done.
- Documents for notes, plans, and drafts that you and your agents can both read and edit.
- Workflows: saved instructions you can run again, or on a schedule.
- A built-in browser beside each conversation, so you can try the website your agent is building.
- A list of the programs your agents start that keep running, such as a website’s server, so you can check on them and stop them.
- Search across your conversations, and the option to switch agents in the middle of a conversation.
- Remote control from your phone or another browser, so you can follow and answer your agents when you’re away from your computer.
Where your work lives
Your project files stay in the project’s folder on your computer. Enjoy keeps each project’s conversations, documents, and workflows in its own storage on the same computer, outside the project folder. See Choose where a project’s conversations are stored.
The iPhone app and the web app at app.enjoy.dev connect to Enjoy on your computer, where the agents do the work. Your computer needs to be awake, online, and running Enjoy for them to reach it. See How Enjoy works on your phone and other devices.
To do the work, agents send your requests and the parts of your project they work on to their AI model, which usually runs at the company that makes the agent. See What AI providers see.
