Delete all application data
Reset the computer app to a fresh start. Enjoy clears its sign-ins, settings, and device pairings but leaves your project folders on disk.
This is a full reset of Enjoy on one computer. Use it when you want to start over there. It doesn’t delete your projects, and it doesn’t affect your Enjoy account or your other devices’ own data.
Before you start
- Let working agents finish. The reset stops all active work.
Steps
Open the Help menu
Choose Delete all application data…. On a Mac, Help is in the menu bar at the top of your screen. On Windows, select the three-line menu button in the top-left corner of Enjoy first. On Linux, Help is in the menu bar of the Enjoy window.
Read the confirmation, then select Delete application data
The window titled Delete all application data? lists what’s cleared and what stays. Select Cancel if you change your mind.
Wait for Enjoy to restart
It clears its data and opens again.
Set up again
Sign in to Enjoy, open your projects again from their folders, and connect your phone and browsers again.
Good to know
- Cleared: Enjoy’s list of saved projects, your preferences, your sign-ins, your device pairings, and cached data. Accounts you added to agents inside Enjoy are signed out and removed.
- Kept: your project folders, and their conversations, docs, and workflows. Your agents stay installed and signed in to the accounts your terminal uses.
- To open a project again, see Bring an existing project into Enjoy.
- After a reset, Enjoy treats this computer as a new one. If it shows You already have a computer with this computer’s old name, select Replacing followed by that name, then Replace followed by the name. This makes it your computer again at no charge, and you can do it once a week. Choosing Add this Mac as a computer (PC on Windows) instead would add a paid extra computer. Team members you invited need new invites.
- If you only need to disconnect your phones and browsers, reset remote access instead. See Reset remote access.
If something goes wrong
Unable to reset Enjoy
The reset stopped partway. The message says The reset did not finish. Your project files have not been deleted. Quit and reopen Enjoy before trying again. Quit Enjoy, open it again, then try once more.
An agent is still using its saved account. Wait for it to finish, then try resetting again.
An agent is working with an account you added in Enjoy. Let it finish, or stop it, then try again.
A project overlaps Enjoy’s application data. Move it to another folder before resetting.
One of your projects is stored inside Enjoy’s own data folders, so deleting them would delete it too. Move that project folder somewhere else, such as your Documents folder, then try again. The same applies to A project was found inside application data.
