Higgsfield alternatives in 2026: 9 AI video apps, compared by price and credits

The best Higgsfield alternative depends on why you’re leaving. OpenArt is the closest swap, from $14 a month; Krea starts lower, at $9; Runway suits directors; LTX Studio builds whole projects; Kling and Google Flow sell their own models; Fliki makes narrated videos; and Enjoy edits footage you already have. Stay if you spend your credits every month and use Higgsfield’s own tools.

Disclosure: Enjoy is our product, and it’s a different kind of tool: it runs AI agents and has no video model of its own. We checked every app below against its maker’s own pages on November 4, 2026, and we say where another app is the better pick, Higgsfield included.

Higgsfield alternatives compared

Higgsfield calls itself “the generative platform for creative production,” “combining 35+ frontier models with its own agentic production engine.” You buy one balance of credits and spend it across Seedance, Kling, Nano Banana and its own tools, such as Cinema Studio, Genjutsu and Marketing Studio. These are the apps people weigh against it, side by side.

App Best for Price, checked November 4, 2026 Runs on From an AI agent
Higgsfield Many models, presets and ad tools in one place Free, with no credits; Starter $19 a month; Plus $59, or $47 billed yearly; Ultra $129, or $99 billed yearly Web and mobile Yes, always on credits
OpenArt The closest swap: many models on one plan Starter $14 a month; Plus $34; Pro $56; Wonder $240; less billed yearly A browser Yes, on every plan
Krea Many models for less, with a free daily allowance Free, 100 units a day; Basic $9 a month, or about $5 billed yearly; Pro $35, or $21 A browser Yes
Runway Directors, with Gen-4.5 and other makers’ models Free, 125 one-time credits; Standard $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly; Pro $35; Max $95 A browser Yes, on Pro and Max
LTX Studio A whole project, from storyboard to final cut Free, 800 one-time credits; Lite $15 a month; Standard $35; Pro $125; less billed yearly A browser None we found

Google Flow Veo and Gemini Omni, with a free daily allowance Free, 50 credits a day; Google AI Pro, $19.99 a month, adds 1,000 a month Web and mobile None we found
Fliki Finished narrated videos from a script Free, 3 credits a month; Standard $28; Premium $88; less billed yearly A browser Yes, on Premium, it says
Open Generative AI Open source, paying per generation Free software; Muapi bills per generation Mac, Windows, Linux; a browser On its hosted version
Enjoy Editing footage you already have, with an AI agent A monthly subscription, free for 7 days (pricing), plus your AI plan Mac, Windows, Linux It runs the agents

Prices are per month as each maker lists them in the US, before tax. Credits don’t compare across apps, because each maker prices each model differently, so use the counts below as each maker’s own estimate. Several of these apps also have phone apps, which we didn’t compare.

Why people look for a Higgsfield alternative

Higgsfield has a wide range of models and tools, and plenty of happy customers. Four things send people looking, each in its own words:

  • Credits expire. Its pricing page says “Unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle and expire at the end of each month.”
  • Unlimited has conditions. It covers named models for a set period, and “the newest flagship models may have shorter windows (for example, 7 days).” On Plus, Seedance 2.5 is “720p 7-day unlimited.” Its help page adds that “Unlimited generations run in the standard queue” and that “Unlimited is designed for personal, human use only.”
  • Agents always spend credits. “Everything generated through MCP deducts credits, regardless of your plan,” says its MCP guide. Free generations don’t apply there either.
  • The cheap plan is narrow. Starter, at $19, lists “Access to Seedance 2.0 Fast & 2.0 Mini” and “Access to selected models only & features.” Its 270 credits come to about “15 Seedance 2.0 Fast videos,” by Higgsfield’s count. Without a paid plan, access “is limited to a small set of models and doesn’t include credits.”

On Trustpilot, Higgsfield rates 4 out of 5, “Great,” and plenty of reviewers praise having so many tools in one place. The complaints that repeat in recent reviews are about refunds after a renewal and long waits on Unlimited. That’s those reviewers’ account, and Higgsfield’s support team answers many of them there.

OpenArt

Best for: the closest swap, with many models on one plan and a lower starting price.

OpenArt’s pricing gives every plan “Access to 100+ premium image, video, and audio models,” and its homepage names Seedance 2.0, Google Veo 3, Sora 2, Kling 3.0 and Nano Banana Pro among them. Starter’s 4,000 credits come to “Up to ~50 videos (excluding Director)” and “Up to ~13 consistent characters.” Every plan also gets OpenArt MCP, which works “through ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Kimi and other compatible agents.”

Price: Starter is $14 a month, or $13 billed yearly. Plus is $34, or $27. Pro is $56, or $44. Wonder is $240, or $175. There’s no free plan on the pricing page, but its homepage offers “a trial plan, with daily credits and no credit card required.”

Watch for: “Commercial use rights” are listed from Plus up, not on Starter, so check before you use Starter for ads or client work.

Krea

Best for: many models for less, with real-time image generation and a free daily allowance.

Krea sells compute units across its own models and other makers’. Basic’s 5,000 units a month come to “~16 Seedance 2.5 videos” by its count. It has a node editor and an agent that “plans, generates, and iterates across models for you,” and Krea MCP promises “All of Krea, inside your agent.”

Price: Free, with 100 units a day. Basic is $9 a month, or about $5 billed yearly. Pro is $35, or $21. Max is $105, or $63. Business is $200, or $160.

Watch for: Basic gets “Selected video models,” and “Pro plan unlocks all video models.” It won’t cure expiring credits either: “Basic, Pro, and Max plans allocate compute units monthly and they do not roll over.”

Runway

Best for: directors and ad makers who want Runway’s own Gen-4.5 and Aleph, with other makers’ models beside them.

Standard and up get “Access to all AI video & image models,” and the pricing page names Gen-4.5, Kling 4.0 and Nano Banana Pro, with Seedance 2.5 on Pro’s card. Its help center says “Gen-4.5 uses 12 credits per second of generated video,” so Standard’s 625 credits come to about 52 seconds of it. Runway MCP works in ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor, and the pricing page lists it on Pro and Max.

Price: Free, with “125 one-time credits.” Standard is $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly. Pro is $35, or $28. Max is $95, or $76.

Watch for: monthly credits expire here too. “Standard, Pro and Unlimited: Monthly credits expire on your billing date.” The better news is “Purchased credits: Do not expire,” and Max can roll over up to a month of unused credits.

LTX Studio

Best for: building a whole film or ad as a project, rather than one clip at a time.

LTX Studio is “Video creation for filmmakers, advertisers, and creative teams,” with the pitch “From concept to final cut.” Its pricing lists its own LTX-2.5 model on every plan. Standard adds “AI Storyboards,” “Pitch Decks,” Kling 3.0 Pro and Seedance 2.0, and Pro adds Veo 3.1.

Price: Free, with 800 one-time credits. Lite is $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly, with 8,000 credits. Standard is $35, or $28, with 28,000. Pro is $125, or $100, with 110,000.

Watch for: the free plan is “For personal projects only. Cannot be used for business, marketing, or paid work,” and the “Commercial use license” first appears on Standard’s card, at $35. We found no MCP server for it.

Kling

Best for: people who mainly use Kling and would rather buy it from Kling.

Higgsfield, OpenArt and Runway all sell access to Kling’s models. Kling’s own plans start with a free Basic tier. Standard has 660 credits a month, at “100 Credits = $1.06,” and lists “Generated content is for commercial use.” Pro has 3,000, at $0.87 per 100.

Price: Standard is listed at $10 a month: $6.99 for the first month, then $8.80. Pro is listed at $37: $25.99 for the first month, then $32.56. Yearly billing is marked 34% off.

Watch for: you’re choosing one maker’s models, so this replaces Higgsfield only if you don’t use the others. The first-month price is a “First-purchase offer available once.”

Google Flow

Best for: trying Veo and Gemini Omni for free, and people who already pay for Google AI.

Flow is Google’s “AI creative studio,” with Gemini Omni to “create and edit videos from any input reference,” Nano Banana for images, and Veo 3.1. Google’s help says “With or without a subscription, you receive 50 Google Flow credits per day.”

Price: Free. Google AI Pro, at $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, adds 1,000 credits a month, and Google AI Ultra, from $99.99 a month, adds 10,000 or more. AI Plus adds 200.

Watch for: it’s Google’s models only, and “Features may vary by Google AI subscription tier, platform (web vs. mobile), and region. 18+.”

Fliki

Best for: finished narrated videos from a script, a blog post or slides, rather than clips you assemble yourself.

Fliki makes videos “from ideas, scripts, blog posts, or PPTs,” with stock footage, music and AI voices, “300 voices across 80+ languages” on the free plan. Its own guide to this question is worth reading too, knowing that Fliki sells what it recommends, as we do.

Price: Free, with “3 credits per month,” 720p and a watermark. Standard is $28 a user a month, or $21 billed yearly. Premium is $88, or $66.

Watch for: “Generate AI video clips” is on Premium’s card, not Standard’s. Its guide says the plan you need for “AI video clips, photo avatars, API access and the Claude connection” is Premium, so the generative part starts at $88.

Open Generative AI

Best for: people who want open-source software and to pay per generation, with no subscription.

This is the project that began as Open Higgsfield AI: the old name on GitHub now leads to Open Generative AI, which is under the MIT license. It has desktop apps for macOS, Windows and Linux, and a hosted version in a browser, and it reaches its cloud models through Muapi, which lists prices such as $0.6 per generation for veo3-fast-text-to-video and $2.5 for veo3-text-to-video.

Price: The software is free, and Muapi bills per generation. Running locally needs no key, but your own hardware: “Image-only models” work on M-series Macs, and for video models, “NVIDIA/AMD GPU required.”

Watch for: “You’ll be prompted to enter your Muapi API key on first use (skip the key if you only plan to use local models),” so free software doesn’t mean free cloud video. “Because the app is not notarized by Apple, macOS Gatekeeper will block it on first launch.” Its README also promises “no content filters,” so what it makes is on you.

Enjoy

Best for: editing footage you already have into finished videos by telling an AI agent what to change, on the AI plan you already pay for.

Enjoy isn’t a generator, so it replaces only part of what people use Higgsfield for. It’s a desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux that runs Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, Antigravity, Muse Code, and local models through OpenCode. What it adds for video:

  • Your recording, edited. With Content Studio, you “Drag in a 2-hour recording or livestream. Enjoy works through all of it and makes 1–2 long videos for YouTube and 10–20 shorts for TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts,” captioned, with music, transitions and “cuts precise to the syllable.”
  • Posts you check. Agents draft a YouTube post with its title, description and tags. “Nothing goes to YouTube until you check the draft and select Post. Enjoy then uploads the video from your computer.”
  • No credits. The agent runs on your own Claude, ChatGPT or other plan, and you can switch agents mid-conversation when one is the wrong fit or out of usage.
  • A generator, if you want one. Enjoy uses the MCP servers you add to Claude Code. With Higgsfield’s server added, an agent in an Enjoy conversation could call its tools and list its video models when we tried it on November 4, 2026. Whatever it generates that way is on Higgsfield’s credits.

Price: Enjoy is one monthly subscription, and the first seven days are free, with a card to start. Content Studio comes with it, and so do your phone and any browser and your other computers, and each teammate you invite needs a subscription of their own. See pricing. The agents are billed separately by the companies that make them.

Watch for: Enjoy makes no footage from a prompt by itself. It has no video model, so generated shots come from a service you pay for on top, and if clips from prompts are all you want, one of the apps above is the better pick. The released app posts only to YouTube: we’ve built TikTok and Instagram Reels, and they aren’t in it yet. “Posting to YouTube isn’t in the web app or the iPhone app.” Enjoy isn’t open source, and it’s a monthly subscription on top of your AI plans once the free week ends. Scheduled workflows run only while your computer is awake with Enjoy open.

Using a generator from an AI agent

If you already make video from Claude or another agent, moving may only mean connecting a different server. Higgsfield, OpenArt, Krea and Runway each publish an MCP server, and Fliki says it has a connection too. Krea’s takes one line in Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http krea https://api.krea.ai/mcp

Check two things first. Higgsfield’s Unlimited and free generations don’t apply through its server, so compare credit prices, not plan headlines. And Runway’s pricing page lists its server on Pro and Max, not Standard.

When to stay with Higgsfield

If you spend your credits every month, and you use what’s particular to Higgsfield, stay. Genjutsu, Marketing Studio and Soul characters are its own and don’t come with you, and its MCP guide says they reach your agent too. If you work on its own site, Plus and Ultra also get Seedance 2.5 and three image models without spending credits, for the periods their plan cards state.

Check last month’s balance before you move. If credits expired unused, a smaller plan may save more than a switch. Move when you keep paying for credits you don’t use, when you want Runway’s or LTX Studio’s way of working, or when what you actually need is your own footage edited and posted.

How we compared

We read each maker’s homepage, pricing and help pages on November 4, 2026, and every one is linked below. We quote their own words for the limits, and we don’t count features a maker hasn’t documented. We didn’t run the same prompt through every model, so this guide doesn’t rank output quality: try your own shot on each free tier first. Our test of Higgsfield’s MCP server in Enjoy listed its models and generated nothing, so it spent no credits. This category changes weekly, so we recheck this guide against its sources at least once a month, and the date at the foot of the page says when we last did.

15.Questions.

What’s the best alternative to Higgsfield?

It depends on why you’re leaving. OpenArt is the closest swap for many models on one plan, Krea starts lower, Runway suits directors, LTX Studio builds whole projects, Fliki makes narrated videos, and Enjoy edits footage you already have. We didn’t compare output quality, so try your own shot before you pay.

Is there a free alternative to Higgsfield?

Yes, for trying things. Google Flow gives 50 credits a day, with or without a subscription, Krea’s free plan has 100 units a day, and Open Generative AI is free, open-source software, though most of its models run through Muapi, which charges per generation. Higgsfield’s own free plan “doesn’t include credits.”

Do Higgsfield credits roll over?

No. Higgsfield says “Unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next billing cycle and expire at the end of each month.” Krea’s Basic, Pro and Max units and Runway’s Standard and Pro credits expire too, though Runway’s purchased credits “Do not expire” and its Max plan rolls over up to a month’s.

Is Higgsfield Unlimited really unlimited?

Only on named models, for a set period, on higgsfield.ai. On Plus, Seedance 2.5 is “720p 7-day unlimited.” Higgsfield says “Unlimited generations run in the standard queue,” and “Any generation made outside it, including through MCP, CLI, Canvas, Supercomputer, and other automated tools, always deducts credits.”

Which Higgsfield alternatives work with Claude Code or other AI agents?

OpenArt, on every plan, Krea, and Runway, on Pro and Max, each publish an MCP server, and Fliki says its connection needs Premium. Higgsfield has one too, always on credits. Enjoy runs Claude Code and Codex, so what you connect to them works there.

Does Enjoy generate AI video?

No. Enjoy has no video model and sells no credits. Its agents edit footage you already have, and any generated shots come from a service you connect and pay for, such as Higgsfield or Runway. If you only want to make clips from prompts, one of the other apps here is the better pick.
