Give feedback the agent can act on

Say what you saw, what you expected, and where. Correct course early, even while the agent is still working, and answer its questions instead of talking past them.

Working with an agent is a conversation. Claude Code’s documentation puts it this way: “When the first attempt isn’t right, you don’t start over. You iterate.” How you phrase each correction decides how many rounds it takes.

What useful feedback includes

  • What you saw. “The menu covers the page title on my phone.” Attach a screenshot when it’s visual.
  • What you expected. “The title should sit below the menu.”
  • Where. The page, the button, or the step where it happens.
  • How to make it happen, for bugs. “Tap Book, choose Tuesday, then go back.”
  • What’s right. “Keep the new colors.” Otherwise the agent may change things you liked.

If you have several notes, send them as a numbered list in one message, most important first.

How to do it in Enjoy

  • Correct early. Claude Code’s guide advises correcting “as soon as you notice it going off track.” You don’t have to wait for the agent to finish. Type your message while it works:
    • Press Enter, or select Queue, to send it once the agent finishes its current work. It waits under Queued, and the ✕ moves it back to the message box.
    • Press ⌘Enter on a Mac or Ctrl+Enter on Windows and Linux, or select Send, to let the agent take it in when it can. Claude Code and Codex read it during their current work. Grok Build, OpenCode, and Antigravity get it when the current request ends. Until then it shows Waiting to send, and Send now stops the work and sends it right away.
  • Stop when it’s clearly wrong. Select Stop next to the status under the conversation’s title, then explain what you want instead.
  • Answer its questions in the question card. If you send a normal message instead, Enjoy dismisses the open questions without an answer, and the agent only sees your message.
  • Use suggestions as a starting point. Under a reply, Potential next actions offers up to three follow-ups. Selecting one sends it right away. Select the pencil, Edit in composer, to change it first.

In the iPhone app, the send button queues your message while the agent works. Touch and hold it and choose Send to let the agent take it in sooner. Tapping a suggestion adds it to your message so you can edit it. To send it as it is, touch and hold it and choose Send now.

An example

Instead of:

“The booking page is broken.”

Try:

“On the booking page at phone width, the Book button for Tuesday does nothing when I tap it (screenshot attached). Wednesday works. Fix Tuesday without changing the page layout, then test every day of the week in the preview.”

Common pitfalls

  • “It doesn’t work.” The agent has to guess what you saw. Describe the symptom.
  • Feedback that contradicts earlier instructions without saying so. Say what changed: “Forget the blue I asked for earlier. Use green.”
  • Piling on corrections. If you’ve corrected the same thing more than twice, start a new conversation with a better request. See What to do when an agent goes in circles.
  • Only saying what’s wrong. Mention what to keep, too.
