Claude in Antigravity

Antigravity removes Claude from free accounts on November 2

On November 2, 2026, Google Antigravity removes Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-OSS-120b. They are the only Claude models on Free and Google AI Plus accounts, and on Google AI Pro during its free trial, so those accounts are left with no Claude. Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 stay, on a paid Google AI Pro subscription, Ultra and Enterprise.

What changes on November 2

Google’s Antigravity models page marks three models with the same footnote: “Will be removed on November 2, 2026.” They are Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6 and GPT-OSS-120b. Google hasn’t announced replacements for them, and the page doesn’t say what happens to work that was using them.

Here is Claude in Antigravity, plan by plan, as Google’s table reads today:

Model Free and AI Plus AI Pro trial AI Pro Ultra
Claude Opus 4.6 Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2 No
Claude Sonnet 4.6 Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2 No
Claude Opus 5.5 No No Yes Yes
Claude Sonnet 5.5 No No Yes Yes
GPT-OSS-120b Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2 Until Nov 2

Enterprise has the 5.5 models and never had 4.6. On Free and Google AI Plus, the removals leave one model: Gemini 3.8 Flash. Gemini 4 Argon, Google’s newest, needs Pro or Ultra.

Who keeps Claude, and who loses it

You lose Claude if you use Antigravity on the free plan, on Google AI Plus, or on Google AI Pro’s free trial. Each of them has Claude only through the 4.6 models, and the 5.5 models aren’t offered to them.

You keep Claude on a paid Google AI Pro subscription, on Ultra, and on Enterprise. Those accounts get Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5, and on Pro and Ultra you can buy AI credits for use beyond the plan’s quota.

The trial is the part that catches people out. Google’s footnote on the 5.5 models reads “Available on Google AI Pro for non-trial subscriptions only,” so starting a Pro trial on November 1 doesn’t keep Claude in your model picker.

Quotas differ too. Google’s plans page gives the free tiers “a meaningful quota, refreshed weekly,” while Pro’s is “refreshed every five hours until the weekly limit is reached” and Ultra’s is “the highest, most generous quota, refreshed every five hours.”

Three ways to keep using Claude

  1. Pay for Google AI Pro. Upgrade from Free, or end the trial early and become a paying subscriber, and Antigravity offers Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 in its model picker. It’s the simplest path if Antigravity is where you already work.
  2. Use Claude Code on a Claude plan. Claude Code is Anthropic’s own agent. It’s included with Claude’s Pro and Max plans (not the free plan), runs Anthropic’s current models, and its limits are Anthropic’s rather than Google’s. You lose Antigravity’s Gemini models and Google integrations, unless you keep both.
  3. Keep both, in one app. Enjoy runs Antigravity and Claude Code side by side, each signed in to the account you already have: Antigravity on your Google account, Claude Code on your Claude plan. Give a job to Gemini, hand it to Claude when it needs Claude, and the conversation comes with it. Enjoy itself is free. You still need a Claude plan for Claude Code; Enjoy doesn’t add Claude to a Google account.

What to do before November 2

  • Finish or wrap up work that depends on Claude 4.6. If a long-running conversation is mid-task on Sonnet 4.6 or Opus 4.6, get it to a stopping point, and note where it was in a file the next model can read.
  • Choose your replacement now. Try Gemini 3.8 Flash on a real task this week, so you know whether it covers your work before you have no choice.
  • Decide on Pro deliberately. If you upgrade for Claude, upgrade to a paid subscription, not a trial.
  • If you use GPT-OSS-120b, plan for it too. It leaves every plan on the same day, and Google hasn’t said when OpenAI’s models will arrive.

We’ll update this memo if Google changes its models page before November 2.

5.Questions.

Can I still use Claude in Antigravity for free?

Until November 2, 2026, yes. Free and Google AI Plus accounts have Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Opus 4.6 until then. After that, Claude in Antigravity needs a paid Google AI Pro subscription, Ultra or Enterprise.

Does the Google AI Pro free trial include Claude Opus 5.5?

No. Google lists Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 as “available on Google AI Pro for non-trial subscriptions only.” A trial loses Claude on November 2 along with the free plan.

Which models will a free Antigravity account have after November 2?

Gemini 3.8 Flash. It is the only model left in the Free and Google AI Plus column of Google’s models table once the three removals take effect.

What happens to conversations that used Claude Sonnet 4.6?

Google’s docs don’t say. Plan on choosing another model for them after November 2.

Is GPT-OSS-120b leaving too?

Yes, on every plan, on the same date. OpenAI and Google Cloud said on October 21 that OpenAI’s models are coming to Antigravity “soon,” without a date.

Can I use Claude and Gemini in the same project?

Yes. Antigravity on a paid Google AI Pro or Ultra plan offers both. Enjoy also runs Antigravity beside Claude Code, Codex and the other labs’ agents, each on its own plan, and lets you switch agents in the middle of a conversation.
