Put a picture behind Enjoy

Steps

Open Appearance
Select your face at the top right of the navigator, then choose Appearance.
Choose a background
Under Background:
- Through the day has four paintings of the sky: Watercolor, Ridgelines, Impression, and Big sky. Each is painted for the time it is where you are, from dawn to night, and changes as the day goes on. Point at one to watch its whole day play in a few seconds. While you point at the one you chose, the window plays along with it.
- Pictures has Enjoy’s own photographs. To use one of yours, select + and choose a picture. Choosing another replaces it. To remove it, point at it and select the × on its corner. If it was your background, the window goes back to plain.
- Select the first tile, None, to go back to a plain window.
Choose how much shows
Drag the Picture slider. To the left, the panes are nearly solid; to the right, more of the picture shows through them. What you read, like messages, the conversation list’s cards, and the box you type in, always stays on its own solid background.

Under Background, turn on Slideshow.
In the desktop app, choose where the pictures come from with Pictures from: Enjoy’s pictures, or Choose a folder… to pick a folder on your computer. Pictures you add to that folder later join the slideshow.
Use Change picture to choose how often it moves on: every 5 minutes, every hour, every day, or each time Enjoy opens. Select the arrow beside it to go to the next picture now.

Choosing a painting or a picture turns the slideshow off. It keeps its settings for the next time you turn it on.

With a background, the window’s panes float on it with a little space around each one. In a narrow window, the one pane you see stays edge to edge.
Your background is saved on this device. Each computer and browser keeps its own. A picture of your own stays on this device and isn’t uploaded.
In the web app, the slideshow plays Enjoy’s pictures. A folder of your own is only in the desktop app.
The paintings are drawn on your computer for the time of day and redrawn every few minutes. They don’t move on their own.
